Every single day seems like an uphill battle.
Living with anxiety or depression really sucks.
It’s invisible, it’s pervasive, and it would be great if it would just go away.
Or even worse, maybe there’s one day when things feel fine, just fine, but it always comes back eventually.
And then there’s the moments where it all feels out of control.
It’s feeling pissed off for minor reasons, or no reason.
It’s feeling like your body can’t move, get out of bed, or shower.
Sometimes, getting so scared that it feels like you can’t breathe, and this is the end.
Life can feel flat, muted, or like everything is going wrong or that it’s all your fault.
Your brain doesn’t care about you being happy, that’s not its function.
Sometimes it’s obvious to us why we are living with Anxiety or Depression, and then sometimes it’s not.
Anxiety doesn’t care if you have friends, good health, and a stable job. Our brains are very good at convincing us of perceived threats – hijacking our ability to problem solve and feel safe in our bodies.
Depression doesn’t care if you have a place to sleep or things to be happy about. It’s like telling someone with the flu: “Hey! Have you tried not being sick? What about yoga?”. It’s just not that easy.
Ok so, will it ever get better?
I’m guessing you’ve been trying a lot on your own already.
Try to get good sleep, eat decently, and drink water. But it’s not fully working.
If the answers were that simple, you’d have found them already.
It doesn’t have to be this way.
And that’s the good news: you no longer have to keep doing all this alone.
Regulating anxiety and managing depression is possible.
I can’t teach you how to never feel worried again or to always be happy; if that were the case, we’d be robots or game show hosts.
I can help you learn how to confidently face and handle any emotions that come your way. Additionally, I can guide you on how to live life differently while providing support as you navigate the challenges that may arise along the way.
Get to the roots of what’s going on.
Along the way, we will be looking at the root cause of the anxiety and depression.
Is it wired in your DNA, or maybe stemming from issues with family, life experiences, toxic relationships, our shame, our fears, or our beliefs? We’ll investigate.
We will look closely at the patterns that keep you stuck and dismantle the ones you don’t find helpful anymore.
You’re in the driver’s seat, not anxiety or depression.
You’ll know what your mind does to you inside and out, and you’ll figure out how to respond and what to do when that ‘old stuff’ comes up.
Throughout the process, I’ll be here to provide support as you consistently do this work, celebrate your success, and help you overcome what happens if something doesn’t work.
All the bad feelings won’t go away forever, but you’ll finally know how to take care of yourself when you need to.
Let’s do work.
I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and do this. Call me for a free consultation at (408) 409-5245.
